Executive Profiles
The individuals who make up the core executive team for QBE Regional Insurance oversee all operations and direct the business services that support our insurance subsidiaries Unigard and General Casualty.

Peter Christen, president and chief executive officer Peter Christen was appointed president and chief executive officer of QBE Regional Insurance in 2007. Christen joined former parent company Winterthur Insurance in 1980. Since 1986 he has held various management positions within the U.S. division, most recently as president and CEO of Unigard Insurance Companies (2000-07). Previously he was president and CEO of Blue Ridge Insurance Company (1995-2000), which is now part of General Casualty. Christen earned degrees from Kollegium Sarnen and the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. |

Chris Alberghini, vice president of strategic planning Chris Alberghini was named vice president of strategic planning in 2007. Since joining Unigard in 1995, he has held various positions in the claims, commercial lines and marketing departments. Alberghini graduated from Princeton University (N.J.) with a bachelor’s degree in economics. |

Mike Bondura, QBE Regional Insurance chief claims officer
Mike Bondura oversees Regional Insurance claims operations, focusing on excellent claim outcomes and exceptional customer service. He brings more than 25 years of experience in claims management and consulting with insurers, self-insureds, and third-party claim administrators. He has earned several industry professional designations, including Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Trained as a Six Sigma Champion, he is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. |

Andy Doll, senior vice president of commercial lines Andy Doll has a considerable depth of experience in the insurance industry and a proven track record of success. He became senior vice president of commercial lines for QBE Regional in 2009. During his tenure at General Casualty/WUSH from 1995-2006, Andy served as chief actuary and assistant vice president of commercial insurance. He earned his Fellow Casualty Actuary Society designation and has an applied mathematics degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Norm Donelson, chief actuary Norm Donelson was named chief actuary in September 2007 after serving as interim head of the actuarial department. He’s been with the actuarial department at Unigard and its parent company since 1980. Donelson holds academic degrees from Whitman College (Walla Walla, Wash.) and the University of Washington. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and has been designated a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. |

Tom Greenfield, senior vice president of regional operations Tom Greenfield directs QBE Regional’s field operations and agent marketing. Prior to his appointment in 2007, he served as regional vice president of General Casualty’s Eastern Region since 2000. Greenfield has been with the organization since 1995. He graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in finance and also has a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College (Wellesley, Mass.). |

Jim Henry, president of QBE Agri Insurance Jim Henry, president of QBE Agri Insurance, joined the company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial insurance, including a number of years in agricultural insurance. Henry is certified as a CPCU, Associate in Risk Management, Associate in Claims, Associate in Reinsurance and Agricultural Farm Insurance Specialist. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). |

Peter Logothetis, chief information officer Logothetis oversees the information services department for QBE Regional Insurance. He has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology industry and has worked in insurance for 15 years. Since 1980, Logothetis has also been a part-time IT instructor at DePaul University, where he earned his master's degree in business administration. A native of Greece, he also has a bachelor's degree in computer science and business from the University of Illinois in Chicago. |

Jerry Mackey, president and CEO of Farmers Union Insurance Mackey became president and CEO of National Farmers Union Property and Casualty Company in 2004. He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and earned his business degree from Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Mo.). |

Charles Valinotti, senior vice president of personal lines
Charles Valinotti has a diverse background in agency management, sophisticated rating models and both domestic and international personal lines insurance. Launching his career as an agent in 1993, he progressed to positions in underwriting and sales and product management. His experience also includes personal lines responsibility in 68 countries. He is a graduate of Queens and the State University of New York at Farmingdale. |

Jennifer Vernon, vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary Jennifer Vernon was named vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of QBE Regional in 2007 after 12 years with the company. Vernon is a licensed attorney in Wisconsin and member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. She graduated from Carleton College (Minn.) with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned a law degree from the University of Minnesota.
